PUGWASH – A debate in Pugwash will give the different sides to fracking.

The Six Rivers Chamber of Commerce and Friends of Cumberland County are teaming up to host the debate, which begins at 7 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Northumberland Community Curling Club in Pugwash.

For the affirmative side will be Gerard Lucyshyn, VP of Research Frontier Centre of Public Policy and Economic Lecturer at Mount Royal University, Calgary. Presenting the negative side is Michael Bradfield, Retired Professor Economics, Dalhousie University.

Elizabeth Roscoe, Retired Justice of the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, will be the moderator.

The debate is open to the public at no cost and audience discussion will be encouraged.
