Church supper

Church Supper, 4-6 p.m., at the Malagash Community Hall, 1926 North Shore Rd. Casseroles, salads, beans, brown bread, rolls, biscuits and pie or cake for dessert…all homemade.  Adults $12, children 12 and under $6, free for preschoolers. Proceeds for Malagash United Church.

Support the next phase of the Guatemala-Tatamagouche Schools Project, a visit to Rabinal by Tatamagouche students, parents, teachers and friends. Come to a fashion show on June 27, 7 p.m., at the Tatamagouche Elementary School. Tickets purchased at ScotiaBank will be matched. The show includes dessert and refreshments; a 50/50 draw and door prizes, as well as crafts from Guatemala for sale. Lynda Shalagan solo art exhibition

‘These Are For You’: Lynda Shalagan solo exhibition at the Grace Jollymore Joyce Arts Centre. Shalagan took craft and fine art courses in North Vancouver before transferring to the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, where she graduated with a bachelor of fine art in 1982. Her exhibit harkens back to her still life work of the past and features the flower bouquet and its emotional message. Opening reception June 30, 7-9 p.m.

Lobster Factory fundraising soiree

The Lobster Factory in Pugwash is having a fundraiser soiree July 1, 7-11 p.m., featuring appetizers from the Wild Caraway restaurant and Tatamagouche Brewing Company. Enjoy the deck overlooking tall ships in the harbour and support the national historic site. Tickets can be purchased at the Wild Caraway and Thinkers Lodge gift shop.
