UPPER MALAGASH – A man suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being trapped following a tractor trailer crash on June 27.
Just before 7:30 a.m., the man – who was the sole occupant of a tractor trailer – was involved in a single-vehicle collision on Smith Road in Upper Malagash. The man had to be extricated with the assistance of the Jaws of Life, a large excavator, and large tow truck.
Firefighters from several volunteer departments assisted police at the scene, and the man was transported to hospital via LifeFlight.
Smith Road was closed for several hours while an RCMP Collision Analyst examined the scene for evidence. The road was re-opened later that afternoon.
The investigation is ongoing.
