Emergency rooms in both Pugwash and Tatamagouche are seeing upcoming closures due to lack of physician coverage.

The Pugwash emergency room will be closed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 10 to 13; 4-8 p.m. Nov. 14; and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 15.

Tatamagouche will be closed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 11 and 12.

The overnight coverage will continue at both locations as usual.

Those experiencing a medical emergency should always call 911. General health concerns can also be directed to HealthLink where advice and information are available around the clock by simply dialing 811. The Mental Health Crisis Line operates 24/7 at 1-888-429-8167.

Anyone who is unclear about the availability of services may also contact the Tatamagouche hospital at 902-657-2382, and Pugwash hospital at 902-243-2521 extension 1.
