If you love a great night of live family entertainment, get ready for exciting slamming action like no other.

Victory Championship Wrestling Can-Am is bringing its Crossing Boundaries ’17 Tour to Tatamagouche on Aug. 26 to the North Shore Recreation Centre. They’re bringing with them a world-renowned WWE legend, globally known as Sabu.

The real-life nephew of 1970s grappler The Original Sheik, Sabu has carried on his uncle’s legacy all over the world, fascinating crowds with his hardcore style of no-holds-barred, anything goes wrestling.

“This is the first time Sabu has ever been to the Maritimes, he wasn’t even here when the WWE toured here so it’s going to be something else,” said promoter Devin Chittick, who has also been competing in the ring for nearly 17 years. His partner is “Alpha Dog” Jason Rumble, a grizzled 20-year veteran from Boston. The two have been organizing wrestling events for almost two decades and have been partners in the VCW venture since spring last year.

Rumble explains, “We wanted to offer fans something completely different from all the other wrestling outfits around here and our product now is a fresh combination of strong-style, in-your-face wrestling that has gotten a great response since we switched gears.”

Muscled and tanned, the Boston grappler is no stranger to WWE talent – he was trained by the late WWE Hall of Famer, “Killer” Kowalski. The tandem promises a tremendous show with “something for everyone”.

Sabu will be leading a group of talented wrestlers from all over North America including The Russian Bears, “Super Genie” Melissa Coates, The Farmer’s Daughter, “East Coast Adonis” Narcis Saint, among others.

The card also features not one, but two bouts that will be contested inside a steel cage. The show includes some faces already familiar with locals, too, such as Tatamagouche’s own Jim Joyce. Joyce himself hosted a card at the same venue a while back that was highly successful and he’s excited to be a part of this mega event.

Joyce said, “This is just going to be off the hook, really. There’s never been a WWE legend come here before, let alone any steel cage match. This will be huge and should not be missed!”
